Students Shine on National Supported Internship Day
Students proudly showcased their achievements as they celebrated National Supported Internship Day, welcoming distinguished guests including the Mayor and local employers to campus.
The event highlighted the incredible progress made by students on the College’s Supported Internship programme, giving visitors a first-hand insight into the valuable skills, confidence and workplace experience learners have developed through their placements.
Throughout the day, guests had the opportunity to meet students, hear about their journeys, and learn more about the positive impact internships are having – not only on the learners themselves, but also on the local business community.
The visit from the Mayor added a special touch to the occasion, underlining the significance of supported internships in helping young people prepare for the world of work and achieve greater independence.
